Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore has developed several onion varieties namely Arka Kalyan, Arka Bheem, Arka Niketan, Arka Pragathi, Arka Bindu, Arka Pitamber etc. for high yielding, Rabi and kharif season and for export market as well.
